A Simple Reason

            As a child starts learning science in school it can seem overwhelming and intimidating.  However, if science is done in the house as casually as a board game it can be a much more comfortable subject in the later years.  An important part of being able to do that is for you to feel comfortable doing science.  So I want to provide you with a simple glossary of terms and procedure to achieve science with your family.  You may find yourself thinking that you were never good at science so how can I teach it to my kids.  First, don’t look at it as teaching look at it as experiencing science with your child side by side.  It is important to know the thing your child will gain by doing some simple and fun science experiments is not the information you will present.  It will be the exposure to the words of science and becoming comfortable with idea of doing science experiments.  A child that knows science young will grow up to know that science is fun and as normal as reading.  STEM careers are something everyone can do if they love it and pursue it.

            So parents I hope you like some of my science experiences and that you will have some fun along side your kids.  Most importantly be sure not to miss the look of wonder in your kids eyes as they see some amazing simple science for the first time.
